A Moment in the Living Room
I was sprawled on the living room sofa, the remote thrown beside me, while the television played a sensual episode of a woman throwing the sheets. The soft late afternoon light streamed in through the window, mixing with the blue glow of the screen. The sound of the dialogue on the TV was almost background noise, and I lost myself in random thoughts, the tiredness of the day beginning to weigh on me.
Suddenly, I heard the soft sound of footsteps descending the stairs. It was her, my half-sister.
