The following day, at tea, Louise shares the illicit details of her prior night s engagement with Sir Malcolm with her friend, Caprice Jane. Encouraging Caprice to attempt each of the pleasures illustrated, Louise leaves the parlor so that Caprice may share the intimacies with her own suitor. Which she heartily enjoys, moreso than crumpets and petit fours.
